Eric H. Holder Jr. Initiative Student Advisory Board Chair Emerita

Aneesah graduated from Columbia College in May 2021 and obtained her degree in Political Science and Business Management. She is passionate about the intersection of politics, law, and economics and is actively exploring this in her professional career. She has interned with the New York City Council Committee on Women, Proskauer Rose LLP and is currently working in J.P. Morgan’s asset management division. She is also a national board member of Consult Your Community, a non-profit that provides pro bono consulting services to women and minority-owned small businesses. While at Columbia, she was Chair of the Holder Initiative's Student Advisory Board, Co-President of the Columbia Pre-Law Society, Finance Chair of Girl Up, and Co-Creator and Fiction Editor for the social justice journal “That Which Remains.” She is a proud lion! In her free time, she enjoys painting, trying new restaurants, and learning how to play the acoustic guitar.
