Cat graduated Columbia College in 2021 with degrees in Political Science and English. She is passionate about the intersection of criminology and education. Her academic work focuses on abolishing the American school-to-prison pipeline. She has done work for First-Generation and Low-Income communities both on campus at Columbia and in her hometown of Passaic, New Jersey. Cat is exceptionally passionate about critical theory and issues of justice, including prison abolition, education reform, and combating voter disenfranchisement. She is a writer and critic that creates content celebrating the power of the Latinx community, and examining the political realm and its implications for low-income communities of color in the Tristate area. She provides insightful critiques of politics and popular culture via her podcast, PRIMEROSAS, and reporting for News and Arts at WKCR on campus.
