Kiana graduated from Columbia College in May 2021 and obtained her degree in Political Science. While at Columbia, Kiana focused her studies on the intersection of political theory and criminal justice, and coordinated programming for the Justice-In-Education Initiative. During this period she also worked for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the New York Civil Liberties Union, and the Vera Institute of Justice. She was a Teaching Assistant for an undergraduate psychology course on justice and was a Poetry Editor for the publication "That Which Remains." Kiana is now working at Columbia Law School as a Faculty Support Officer and looks forward to pursuing a career in public interest law.
