Nicholas Brown is a sophomore at Columbia College double-majoring in African American Studies and Sociology. His interests include mass incarceration, prison abolition, LGBTQIA+ rights, and education justice. Beyond the Eric Holder Initiative, Nicholas serves as the political chair for the Black Student Organization and a managing editorial assistant for Souls: A Critical Journal of Black Politics, Culture, and Society. Last summer, he interned for the President's Office at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU Law School. Before Columbia, he served as a youth organizer for the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, in a campaign to end the school to prison pipeline in Durham, NC.
