Santiago Tobar Potes, from Miami, Fla., is a senior in the College. After completing a concentration in East Asian Studies (Classical Chinese Poetry), he is now taking coursework in neuroscience, political theory, and computer science. He has interned at the U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, and for two Colombian Presidents. He is interested in novel approaches to social and criminal justice that are based on neuroscience, such as reconciling the looming certainty of our lack of free will. His writing has appeared on CNN, Forbes, and NBC among others.
